Cannot sign in unless the user is System Administrator group
Hello everyone,
I'm new to Mercurial and HgLab so I've probably misconfigured this somewhere along the lines, but I'm stuck. :-)
If I attempt to sign is as a user that is not in the 'System
Administrator' group the website does not error but continually
redirects back to signin page.
(If invalid username / password supplied then I get an error.)
The test user is in the 'Project Administrators' group, and is a Team Member and Lead for a project that has a non-empty repository.
I can successfully sign in as a user that is in the 'System Administrator' group. (There are a few users setup like that.)
Doesn't seem to matter if I use an ip address or http:///hglab
remotely or http://localhost/hglab on the machine
itself.
I'm not using AD / LDAP integration.
Version is a new install of 1.5.1. Still within Evaluation period.
Thanks in advance,
- Neil W

Neil,
Please ensure that "Project Administrators" group has "Collaboration" permission set; having this permission (or being a System Administrator) is required to be able to sign in to HgLab.
See this article for more information on Security Model in HgLab: http://hglabhq.com/documentation/administrator-guide/security-
model#permissions

Awesome! Glad I could help this quick :)
How do you think the documentation (or HgLab interface itself) could be improved so that this was more evident?

I was rushing and didn't get as far as reading the Security Model documentation section, so my fault. :-)
I think maybe an improvement might be to warn that for users to signin to HgLab they will need the 'Collaboration' permission, and direct them to read the http://hglabhq.com/documentation/administrator-guide/security-model... section.
This warning might go either on the http://hglabhq.com/documentation/getting-started overview page or at the end of the http://hglabhq.com/documentation/installation/installing-hglab page.
Thanks again,
